As Director of Ad Ops, Pavan’s role combines campaign strategy with ad optimization, as well as leading his own team of ad optimizers.
Before moving back to Boston and joining Orion, Pavan owned the planning and execution of dozens of campaigns per year as the Senior Digital Media Manager at Facebook in Menlo Park. At Facebook, he led digital strategy and managed the team’s budget while also running campaigns that spent and scaled hundreds of millions of dollars worth of digital advertising.
While he’s proud of this work, his favorite accomplishment is much more personal.
While at Facebook, Pavan had the opportunity to assist with the digital strategy for Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In campaign. He cites this at the top of his proudest moment list, right next to running a campaign in response to Pied Piper (for the Silicon Valley fans in the crowd).
Despite all of this excitement, Pavan still decided to venture back east for the chance to build and run his own ad optimization team, return to a more tight-knit office environment, being able to work across a variety of campaigns and with an array of different clients, and to enjoy the infamous Rico’s Greek Salad.
Pavan graduated from Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with a minor in Computer Information Systems, Information Design and Corporate Communications.
